Daniel Bryan recently spoke about his ideal situation for WrestleMania and more. Here are the highlights…

On Sting vs. Triple H: “I think he’d do very well. But it will be interesting because there’s a lot of pressure in WWE. And he’s older now. Let’s see how he handles that kind of pressure, whether it is a WrestleMania match or doing something at the Royal Rumble. It has been a long time since he’s performed in front of a crowd that big.”

On Paul Heyman: “Paul Heyman’s been an incredible performer for years and he’s been able to change and evolve with the way the business has evolved. To me, I feel like he’s very ahead of the curve. If you talk to Paul Heyman, he’s like a wrestling genius. He understands the fan base, he knows what people want. He’s an amazing performer.”

On Brock Lesnar: “Literally, my ideal scenario for Sunday would be I win the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar wins his WWE World Heavyweight championship match, and then we wrestle in the main event of WrestleMania. That’s what I hope happens. It’ll be interesting to see what actually does happen.”

Stephanie McMahon did a new interview with TalkSport talking about the WWE Network and more. Check out the highlights:

On the idea of local-specific content following the UK launch: “Right now our focus is really to continue on the launch and rollout of the Network – but ultimately localization of the content on the WWE Network where it makes sense to do so.”

On goals for the Network: “[We also want] to increase the engagement with our fans – we listen to our audience and that is key to our success, really. We have 320 live events a year all over the world and they act as focus groups every single night – they tell us what they love, what they don’t like and worse, what they don’t care about. Just staying on top of and staying ahead of the curve in terms of innovation and delivery of that content [is key] because our ultimate goal is always to give our fans what they want, when they want it and where they want it, on any available platform.”

Jeff Jarrett Discusses The Pay-Per-View Model Dying Out, Plans For AAA/GFW, & More

The Squared Circle Gazette recently interviewed former WWE, WCW, and TNA wrestler Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett discussed GFW possibly bringing AAA and TripleMania to PPV, if there is resistance to a new wrestling product with the current TV landscape, and more. Below are some highlights:

Jarrett on possibly bringing AAA’s TripleMania to PPV in North America: “We have our contracts in place with the Pay-Per-View distributors…You mention TripleMania – I’m in discussions with multiple international partners to bring their products to the North American and now the global audience via the Flipps App. So yes, to answer your question, yes, we are in discussions on bringing in other international shows to Pay-Per-View other than New Japan”

Jarrett on if the current PPV model is dying: “When you try twelve a year, absolutely. And yes, everything is going online obviously. But you know, UFC…Floyd Mayweather…if you ask them if Pay-Per-View is a dying breed they would laugh at you. But you have to have that special event, if you try twelve a year then the returns are not there, especially when there’s so much programming out there. In this set of circumstances, you can’t watch New Japan on a two or three hour weekly show with the same matchups. You can only see Tanahashi and Okada (and this great card) on Pay-Per-View, and that makes it can’t miss”

On if there is resistance to a new wrestling product with the current TV landscape: “We are in multiple, multiple discussions with several networks, but the right deal has to be done. My attorneys tell me that sometimes your best deals are the ones you don’t do. A guy like me, that’s hard to absorb at times. But AXS has just picked up New Japan for a 13 week run. Lucha Underground has got a run. Brand exposure is the key. To create revenues in this business, and Vince McMahon is a genius with that – his deal is fantastic with NBC Universal, but that’s just a piece of his puzzle. He has international deals, touring business, merchandise, licensing, sponsorship, his online Network. Revenue streams are broad and deep, so TV is one component of a wrestling promotion.”

-- Inc has posted a new clip in which Stephanie McMahon talks about connecting with an audience.

She said: “Developing your brand is different than marketing your brand. I think developing your brand, you have to know what you stand for, you know, what are your goals. What are you trying to achieve? Then you need to make sure you know your audience. Who are you trying to engage, what are you trying to get them to do and how are your reaching them. What are the relevant platforms, you know, are they on particular social platforms, are they watching television, what day parts? So know your audience, know how to communicate your messaging and know what you want them to do and then activate. You have to activate and you have to have a brand that’s worthwhile. You need to make sure that you’re delivering quality results.”

The British Bulldog’s Daughter Discusses Her Father Being In The WWE Hall Of Fame & More

In an interview with Last Word on Sports, Georgia Smith, the daughter of “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, spoke about what it would mean for her father to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Here are highlights:

Also read: The British Bulldog's Daughter Backstage At Tuesday's WWE SmackDown TV Taping - View A Photo

On being Davey Boy Smith’s daughter: “Well, I always remember my dad as just being my dad, his wrestling character will always be second to that. But, him as the man he was, and him as the wrestler, I deeply miss him everyday. I carry and hold a lot of pride, honor, and respect because of my dad’s, and my family’s legacy, accomplishments, and impact they made in professional wrestling.”

On if she ever wanted to get into wrestling: “I’ve never had any interest whatsoever in being a diva or wrestler at all. If I were to ever make the transition, it would be like what Renee Young does with her doing interviews and WWE specials. I did go to college for TV, radio, and broadcasting. I also did internships at TV shows, and radio, so I do have background and experience being involved with TV/media. I don’t think my dad would’ve been too pleased if I went down the wrestling route, especially with him and my family knowing what my dreams and goals are in life, and they don’t involve wrestling. I also have seen a lot of negatives in wrestling in general, that have given me a bad taste. For that reason I have no interest in going down the diva or wrestling route, despite being brought up with it. I saw how much my dad gave for wrestling, and how he literally broke his back for the business, I can’t say I could ever do that for wrestling.”

On what it would mean to see her father inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame: “I think they owe it to Harry, myself, my mom, along with my dad’s family in England. I think for everything my dad did for WWE, and the big of star he was, I think it’s been long overdue. But again, WWE do things the way they want and when they want.”

On NXT: “I like how they presented these guys where it’s now, ‘Hey, Prince Devitt is coming. Kevin Steen is coming in. Hey, Kenta is coming in. Kenta was this in Japan. Now he is going to be moving forward and creating his own legacy in WWE.’ For so long WWE pretended things in the past didn’t happen. I think it is important, and I think now they are at least acknowledging that they have a past and stuff outside of their universe.”

On independent promotions having power: “I think it gets better for independent wrestling because we are coming in as a society where it’s becoming niche oriented. With the internet, the power of the internet, the more it grows for consumers. The directness to a consumer, it’s the best it has ever been, and it’s going to get better.Gone are the days in the music industry of buying a giant album from the giant labels. It’s such a direct market now, where it goes right to the consumer. Because of that, it’s the power of the independents right now. It will be interesting to see in five years. Now we can go to the consumer, aka the wresting fan, through the internet, social media and podcasts, YouTube. We are able to find our own audience and people who like us.

On CM Punk‘s absence / lack of public comments: “When Punk wants to talk, he will talk. That’s not for me. I enjoy seeing him being happy right now. So that’s where I’ll leave it. I know he is very happy. Things are going well for him. When he wants to talk, I’m sure he will do it.”

The following are highlights of a new interview with Dean Ambrose:

"I’ll be swinging, kicking, biting, scratching and clawing everything in my path – and Kane will be in my path. It’s not rocket science what my strategy has to be in a match like this. I have to throw punches until I can’t throw punches anymore. I have to really swing for the fences from bell to bell."

On how he prepares for a match: "I listen to some Hank Williams before I go out. I tell some jokes. I have fun. I don’t waste too much energy thinking about it – I like to save that all for the ring. The calmest part of my day is right before a match."

On feeding off of the crowd for energy: "That’s what you feed off of. That’s the energy and the electric jolt that will power you through every time."

The following are highlights of WWE Hall Of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin talking about wrestlers facing physical issues with fans inside and outside of the ring during his appearance on the Bro Bible podcast.

On how wrestlers would handle fans jumping into the ring during his days in the business:

Also read: ?Hulk Hogan Caught In Yet Another Lie - Is This Guy Serious?!, Austin Feud, & More

"It’s a whole different ballgame these days. In the old days, if a fan stepped into the squared circle, he was considered fair game. Normally, the heel took care of the business at hand, because the babyface was the guy the crowd was supposed to be cheering for but both guys in the ring would have to access the risk. Back in the old days, when wrestlers had genuine heat with fans, you never knew what guys were walking into the ring with."

On wrestlers having to deal with fights outside of the ring:

"As a Hollywood Blonde, Brian Pillman and I had some pretty good heat, but it was well past the time in our industry where you had to worry about a fan trying something on the way back to the dressing room. I’ve heard stories of guys having to fight their way back to the locker room and getting stuck with knives or people try to cut them back when wrestling was quote, unquote real.

I’ve never personally had any altercations with fans in an arena or out in public. The worst I’d get was maybe some drunk guy at a bar wanted to arm wrestle but I’d usually just defuse the situation with a “hey man let me buy you a beer” and things would blow over.

Thankfully, but almost regretfully, none of those old “drunk guy at a bar” ever transcended into an altercation with me just because a wrestler always wants one old war story to tell."

Linda McMahon recently spoke about building the WWE with Vince McMahon and more. Here are the highlights…

On building WWE with her husband Vince McMahon: “I’ve been often asked, did you never dream you would be where you are today? And I say no, because you were too busy building, doing, step by step… As the company grew, and all of those different departments began to mesh, we kept looking at great success in the things we were doing, I would step back and say ‘where are you now compared to where you were before you did this thing?”

On how she measures success: “My measure of success is how many jobs and lives we have affected internally, within the company… and having an opportunity to mentor some of the young people who have come along. The first success was about building the company. And then once you’ve built the company, how do you continue to do that? So to have success today is to look around and see that we’re continuing to put smiles on people’s faces.”

Bray Wyatt Discusses Stereotypes In Pro Wrestling, His Current WWE Character And More

Chad Dukes of ChadDukesWrestling.com recently interviewed WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, who was promoting WWE Battleground. Below are some highlights:

Wyatt on his last year on the main WWE roster: "This ride this last year has just been a roller coaster, man. The intensity is off the charts. I measure it a lot by the reception from the people and the fans. So NXT, it took people a while to understand, you know, what exactly you're trying to portray because everyone wants to immediately look at us and they go, "Deliverance" and all these foolish hillbilly… what's the word I'm looking for?"

Wyatt's response when Dukes says "stereotypes": "Stereotypes, exactly, but we're highly intelligent, you know, more like some kind of hillbilly assassins. When we started in NX, we go from that reaction to…I actually was there just last night, and when I walkout there, I just, I see the people ignite. I do the entrance, and I say "NXT, we're home" and they believe it and I believe it, how real it is, and that's sort of how it's been. It starts out, I'm in no mans land not knowing what's going to happen from day to day, how the people are going to receive me, until now, I see in their eyes they understand. They see me for what I want them to see me as, it's truly truly a wonderful feeling, man."

Also read: Bray Wyatt On Interacting With The Fans & Being On The Main Roster

Wyatt on his inspirations for his character: "When we looked at ourselves we never said we wanted to be the next this, we don't want to be the next that. We saw the Shield when they were coming up and we were really angry that the Shield was coming up, because as talented as those guys were, we were already a three-man group. We already existed. We were already battle tested and ready to roll and I think that's why our involvement with them was so special because it was a real affliction.

"As far as inspiration, I'm inspired by everything. I'll watch a homeless man walk down the street with a crazy little limp and the next thing I know I pick it up. And that's the thing though, I don't sit down with a pen and paper, and I don't say, "Hey I'll walk out and say this on Monday Night Raw." I feel it out there, you know man. I start out with a little point that I want to get across and wherever my brain takes me is wherever I go in those promos. It's not something made up, the ideals are not made up, and everything is real to me. Everything I say it's so passionate, it's just real, it's what I really think of the world, what I really think of society and heroes, and all those people that I have a lack of respect for, it's all real images that pop up in my head in sequential order. Boom-boom-boom-boom, and they just flow out of me as if it's not even me talking but something else."

Wyatt on his positive crowd reactions: "I feed off the energy. I don't care what noise that they're making as long as they're making noise. It makes it real; it makes it real to me. If they were sitting down and they were quiet and not making any noise then I'd be worried. But as long as they're loud and they're into what I'm doing it makes me more into what I'm doing."

The Rock Discusses A Possible Match With Roman Reigns, If Sting Will Return To WWE And More

CBS 19's Chris Van Vliet in Cleveland, Ohio recently interviewed The Rock. Below are some highlights and a video of the interview:

The Rock on his WrestleMania 30 appearance: "By me not posting anything (laughs). I came in literally hours before and it's one of those things where it was a very last minute decision. It was an amazing night and there's no greater feeling as a performer than that connection with an audience."

Also read: The Rock Speaks On One More Match, Sting In WWE & Wrestling Roman Reigns

The Rock's thoughts on if he think Sting will come back: "I do, yeah. And I know a guy or two so we'll just put it like that. I do think he's going to come back and I think it's going to be great."

Does The Rock thinks a match with Roman Reigns makes sense: "I don't know if that match makes sense now because he is not their top heel right now, so you would look at that. Unless I went in as a heel and he was a babyface."
