Daniel Bryan recently spoke about his ideal situation for WrestleMania and more. Here are the highlights…
On Sting vs. Triple H: “I think he’d do very well. But it will be interesting because there’s a lot of pressure in WWE. And he’s older now. Let’s see how he handles that kind of pressure, whether it is a WrestleMania match or doing something at the Royal Rumble. It has been a long time since he’s performed in front of a crowd that big.”
On Paul Heyman: “Paul Heyman’s been an incredible performer for years and he’s been able to change and evolve with the way the business has evolved. To me, I feel like he’s very ahead of the curve. If you talk to Paul Heyman, he’s like a wrestling genius. He understands the fan base, he knows what people want. He’s an amazing performer.”
On Brock Lesnar: “Literally, my ideal scenario for Sunday would be I win the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar wins his WWE World Heavyweight championship match, and then we wrestle in the main event of WrestleMania. That’s what I hope happens. It’ll be interesting to see what actually does happen.”

Daniel Bryan's Emotional Comeback - Raw Fallout - December 29, 2014-- Daniel Bryan spoke about his injury this past weekend, although there was not a lot of new information to report.
Bryan said he may undergo a second surgery, but there's a chance that he may not. There is said to be no actual timetable for his WWE return, as they are waiting to see if the strength returns in his right arm without surgery.

-- WWE.com has added a new poll to WWE.com for a future episode of WWE Countdown, asking fans who they think is the most dynamic Diva. The choices are limited to only Divas on the active roster with the exception of Eve Torres.
This adds to the rumors that she is coming back, which began on October 24 when WWE filed a trademark application to the US Patent and Trademark Office for “Eve Torres” for “wrestling exhibitions and performances by professional wrestlers.”
-- Daniel Bryan is advertised for Gamestop’s Midnight Madness launch of WWE 2K15 on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One next week. Bryan will appear at the Gamestop store on East 14th Street in New York City on Monday night.

It was revealed during the SmackDown tapings that Daniel Bryan needs to have another surgery done on his arm. The Big Show made the announcement to start off the show, after which he led the group in a “YES!” chant to support Bryan.

It was hoped that he wouldn’t require a second surgery but obviously he will at this point. No word on how long he may be out at this point.

Craziest Fan Experiences - WWE Inbox 122-- Last night on RAW, Stephanie McMahon demanded that Daniel Bryan show up on RAW next week and surrender the WWE Title. Bryan is still not being advertised for the event and the feeling is that the company will drag out the angle for a few more weeks.

WWE Legends talk about Tony Atlas' cooking: WWE Legends' House ExclusiveAs noted earlier, Daniel Bryan successfully underwent neck surgery earlier today in Pittsburgh, PA. Bryan's issue was described as a "lingering" nerve issue with his neck. Bryan underwent a cervical foraminotomy in order to decompress the nerve root. The procedure involves surgeons go in through the back of the neck to shave the inside edges of joints in the neck and spine that are causing compression. This is done in order to prevent the eventual collapse of a spinal disc.
There is no official timetable for his return, but the usual recovery from such a procedure for heavy physical activity is 2-3 months. Bryan is already out of bed and wearing a soft neck brace. At this time, he is expected to be released from the hospital in one or two days. Prior to the surgery, WWE expected Bryan to be out up to eight weeks, with the target for return at the Summerslam PPV.

The surgery was performed by world-renowned neurosurgeon and sports medicine expert Dr. Joseph Maroon. WWE.com was not able to get an official timetable for Daniel Bryan's return, but can confirm that the WWE World Heavyweight Champion is out of surgery and doing well, with strength already returning to his hands.

-- According to the local advertising in Buffalo, New York, Daniel Bryan is not scheduled to appear at Tuesday night's WWE SmackDown tapings. Of course, that could easily change. For what it's worth, John Cena is advertised for the SmackDown TV tapings. Both Cena and Bryan are booked for Monday's RAW at the Times Union Center in Albany NY as the advertised dark match features Daniel Bryan and John Cena teaming up to face Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt.
-- Just to recap something we reported earlier, WWE NXT Diva Raquel Diaz (aka Shaul Guerrero) was released from WWE earlier this week. Because she was just recently paired up with Baron Corbin as part of a gimmick makeover, it's being said that there were no definitive plans to release her from the company as we noted earlier. Diaz had a reputation of not taking training seriously and was also someone who would consistently request time off. Additionally, she actually quit the company during her initial run, but eventually opted to make a return. As of right now there is no word as to whether or not Corbin will continue to work under his new biker persona, a gimmick that Diaz was originally planned to be a part of.

Batista is currently only scheduled for Extreme Rules, followed by the WWE RAW and SmackDown tapings in Albany, NY and Buffalo, NY. After that he will take time off to promote Guardians of the Galaxy. WWE knew he was leaving for that reason but this is earlier than the company expected.
The original plan was for Batista to face Daniel Bryan at WWE Payback in June. Batista turned it down because he didn't think losing to someone as small as Bryan would help him be remembered when he comes back. He also didn't think it would be good to help promote his movie. Of course, Batista has already lost to Daniel Bryan, as he tapped out to the Yes Lock at WrestleMania XXX.
Since Batista turned the Payback plans now, there are no other plans in place and that's probably why he will leave earlier than planned. There is no word on how this will affect Evolution. Batista is set to return before SummerSlam.
-- As previously noted, Daniel Bryan was listed as questionable for next week's edition of WWE RAW, which takes place in St. Louis, Missouri. It was also announced that he would not be appearing at the non-televised WWE live events this weekend in Toronto, Rockford and Peoria. It was later announced on WWE Main Event that Bryan would in fact be appearing in St. Louis for RAW next Monday night. That is the current plan right now but that could change depending on the funeral arrangements, etc. for Bryan's father. We'll keep you posted throughout the weekend. Stay tuned.
