Bill Goldberg Speaks Out On What His Current Relationship With Chris Jericho Is After Their Fight

The Phoenix New Times recently interviewed Goldberg, who was promoting his upcoming appearance at the Clickjab Wrestling Fanfest this weekend. Below are some highlights:

Goldberg on his podcast: "I just think the reality is, I'm asking every one of ‘em about wrestling, you know? So as to educate them as to most of the people who are listening to me. But again, I'm not trying to be a dick and I'm not trying to turn my back on the fans, I'm just trying to give them something different. Because there are already four or five or 60 wrestlers doing podcasts.

"And as much as I dislike [Chris] Jericho at times, he's expanded his horizons on his podcast. He's pretty eclectic at who he has on as a guest. And I believe that's an integral part of having a successful business venture is being able to pull from all demographics, not just one. So the wrestling community is absolutely gigantic, and I just want to do something different, man."

Goldberg on if he would have Chris Jericho on his podcast show: "Absolutely. Why not? We'll do a co-promoted podcast where it should be aired on both simultaneously. Yeah. No big deal. I'm 47 years old, man, I don't hold grudges with people. If he's got a problem with me, say it to my face. Other than that, shut up, you know?"

On Jericho's claim on Twitter that Goldberg is his "bro": "Yeah, that's how I feel too, man. And I very much appreciate him saying that. Until I talk to him face-to-face, which I haven't done since the B.S. went down years ago, which…it was ridiculous. It was the furthest thing from a fight that I think I've ever seen. But he knows the truth and I know the truth, and the reality is we're grown men, dude, we've got bigger and better things to do than [dwell] on a ridiculous little subject that people seem to bring up every couple minutes.

Chris Jericho Explains Why Bray Wyatt Is Getting Over

Chris Jericho spoke to The Miami Herald recently and they just published the second part of the interview. Down below Jericho speaks on why Bray Wyatt is getting over? And the Bray Wyatt character.

"It's different. It's something nobody's ever seen before. It's a character that he's really dropped into. People believe it's real, and when people believe it's real, they get into it. Same thing as heel Jericho from 2008 and 2009. People wanted to fight me on the streets for real. I was getting in fights with fans. People believed this character was the biggest %$#^& on earth, because that's the way I played it."

"It's like an Academy Award winning actor. When he wins an award, there's a reason for that, because you believed the character. That's what Bray's doing. He dropped into it. He's embraced it. He created it. It's real. So it's something the people haven't seen before, and that's why it's getting over as good as it is."

"[The music] really fits the character. It's a swampy type, groovy, New Orleans Cajun type vibe. It's a little bit creepy, and that's basically what the Wyatts are as well. It's very important to have a good ring song that really matches your character to help you get into that character, before you go on stage. That's very, very important."

- Speaking of Jericho, his latest podcast features Jake Roberts and Diamond Dallas Page. Jericho also previews the new Fozzy albmum. Down below is the synopsis and the actual podcast:

DDP & Jake The Snake Roberts together in-person with Y2J. They sat down at DDP's Accountability Crib in Atlanta, and talked about EVERYTHING! Jake's descent into drugs & alcohol, his resurrection, his WWE comeback & Hall of Fame induction, working the sober program with Scott Hall, and how Jake really feels about all those snakes! Chris Jericho Discusses The Bray Wyatt Character, Separating Fozzy From Wrestling, More

The Miami Herald has posted part two of their interview with Chris Jericho, in which he talks about Bray Wyatt's character and music. The two have a match at WWE Battleground tomorrow night. Here are highlights:

On being busy: "The saying is, ‘Whenever you do something you love to do, you never work a day in your life,' and I don't, but everyday is full of activities and lots of things I got to do. I think Chris Jericho is pretty much an industry at this point...It's always what I wanted to do. It's always what I dreamed of doing, and I'll never complain about any of it."

On keeping Fozzy and wrestling separate:"Whenever I was doing Fozzy, it seemed like I was always a bad guy in wrestling, so it wasn't a good idea to promote the band when I'm also promoting myself as the most hated guy in [wrestling]. That's why you have to keep those separate because people will jump out and go, ‘We're supposed to hate Fozzy, because we're supposed to hate Jericho.' I keep them separate for a reason, because they're two separate things, and they should be, and they are."

Chris Jericho Remembers The Ultimate Warrior - Details

In an interview with Bang Showbiz, Chris Jericho brought up his memories of the Ultimate Warrior.

He said: "I only treat people the way that they treat me and I only met Warrior once and he was really gracious and really cool to me back in 1998 in WCW. He was there to do something with Hulk Hogan and I remember I went up to say hi to him and he went, 'Hey, Chris Jericho, I know you, you're doing a great job you're doing some good work.' I was a nobody at the time and I remember thinking, 'Wow, the Warrior likes me that totally smokes.' It made me feel that I must be doing something right and it gave me a little bit of a boost and I always remembered that. He's definitely a legendary guy that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, I'm glad he got to go in when he was still alive.

I always respected him as a performer, some of his matches were pretty quick I remember he came in the Winnipeg arena once and beat Andre the Giant in 30 seconds, at the time I was like, 'What a rip off! That sucks.' But I remember WrestleMania VI where he had a classic with Hulk Hogan, much like a lot of guys from that time period he had good matches when he had the right opponent."

Why Goldust Was Upset At RAW, Jericho Update, R...

-- As reported earlier here on eWN, Goldust was said to be upset after RAW this week. During a match with Fandango, Goldust was busted open and received medical attention to close the cut. While it was a minor cut, Goldust was "visibly upset" over it backstage. If you watch a tape of RAW, he also seemed to break character in the ring and stormed off to the back.-- Chris Jericho revealed on Twitter that he filmed an interview for the upcoming blu-ray release of Bloodsucking Freaks.
