Scott Hall On If He'd Take An On-Air Job With WWE, Current Life & Tons More - Must-Read

Razor ramon1 Birthdate: 10/20/1958 (age 56) Height: 6'7" Weight: 287 Ib Scott Hall is best known for his tenures with t...

The following are highlights of a VOC Nation Radio Network interview with WWE Hall Of Famer Scott Hall:

On what his life is like right now: "I couldn't be happier, actually. I mean, both of my kids are chasing their dreams. My daughter Cassidy is 19. She's a sophomore at the University of Central Florida down in Orlando so she's chasing her dream of higher education. You know, college ain't for everybody. It wasn't for me... it doesn't seem to be for Cody. So we moved to Atlanta & decided to focus on getting him into the indie scene & taking it from there. I'm happy to announce that Cody has been invited to train & live in Japan. He's been offered a spot in the dojo for New Japan Pro Wrestling. So things couldn't be scripted better. It's exactly how we talked about. We wanted Japan first & then maybe Europe & then NXT so , I mean, we're right on track with everything. Everything is going great for me. I feel like I'm going to wake up & someone is going to tell me it's a dream. But so far, I'm sleeping soundly.

On if he will be going with his son, Cody, to Japan: "Not initially. I mean, I would like to go over there when he debuts. He's just going to be training & you know, going to shows. He's not going to be having matches. It's just, initially, just training & stuff, which he's ready for. So I won't be going right away, no."

On whether he would ever take on any roles in creative, managing, or color commentator in WWE or TNA if it was offered to him: "Yeah, I mean, I would certainly be flattered... I don't really think I'd consider a spot with TNA. No disrespect to TNA but I just wouldn't. I would love to work in the WWE but I don't know whether if that's ever going to happen. I find that I love working with the young guys. I remember now... like they bring the old-timers around. You know, they bring me around. I remember when I was actively on the roster & they would bring in Killer Kowalski or different guys would come in & I'd be like, 'Oh wow. Yeah. That's a legend. He's so cool.' They would just bring the old timers around just to have them at catering & stuff like that, just so the boys could mark out for them. I got to go to the Hulk's birthday at RAW &, of course, the Hall of Fame was really fun. It's really cool to be around these young guys & have these guys who are actively on the scene going, 'Man, I grew up watching you. You're the best' & all that & I never get tired of hearing that so I would welcome that. I think that I have something to offer but right now I'm just trying to work on getting & keeping my stuff straight."

On if there is anyone who he looked up to: "I remember I was a huge Dusty Rhodes' fan. Most of my pro-wrestling watching took place when I lived in Florida. I moved there when I was a teenager. I was a huge Dusty Rhodes' fan. I was a big 'Superstar' Billy Graham fan. There weren't really any factions or anything like that. I mean, I was a huge [Fabulous] Freebirds' fan & I kind of modeled the Wolfpac after the Freebirds. I thought they were so cool. Like, they had Freebirds' Rules on tag matches where you never knew which two of the three guys would defend the belts. They would just say, 'Hey, Freebirds' Rules' & that's it. I just liked the way they always were together. They traveled together. They really were friends. So, with me & Kev [Kevin Nash] & Pac [XPac], that was really cool how that all worked out & we were able to kind of mimic & give a tribute to the Freebirds. I'd say they're probably the most influential faction that I watched as a kid. [The host, Nani, then points out that the Fabulous Freebirds' are not in the WWE Hall of Fame] No, no, they're not. They're not & I think it's crazy how they could not be."

On if there was anyone he wished he worked with or a program he wanted to be a part of: "You know, a lot of people talk to me about how, 'You never were the World's Champion' & I'm thinking, when I look back on my career, I think I had two title shots my whole career... maybe three. I know I wrestled Bret [Hart] once when I was in what-was-then the WWF & I wrestled Sting like, once, in the NWO days....

Bray Wyatt Discusses Stereotypes In Pro Wrestling, His Current WWE Character And More

Chad Dukes of ChadDukesWrestling.com recently interviewed WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, who was promoting WWE Battleground. Below are some highlights:

Wyatt on his last year on the main WWE roster: "This ride this last year has just been a roller coaster, man. The intensity is off the charts. I measure it a lot by the reception from the people and the fans. So NXT, it took people a while to understand, you know, what exactly you're trying to portray because everyone wants to immediately look at us and they go, "Deliverance" and all these foolish hillbilly… what's the word I'm looking for?"

Wyatt's response when Dukes says "stereotypes": "Stereotypes, exactly, but we're highly intelligent, you know, more like some kind of hillbilly assassins. When we started in NX, we go from that reaction to…I actually was there just last night, and when I walkout there, I just, I see the people ignite. I do the entrance, and I say "NXT, we're home" and they believe it and I believe it, how real it is, and that's sort of how it's been. It starts out, I'm in no mans land not knowing what's going to happen from day to day, how the people are going to receive me, until now, I see in their eyes they understand. They see me for what I want them to see me as, it's truly truly a wonderful feeling, man."

Wyatt on his inspirations for his character: "When we looked at ourselves we never said we wanted to be the next this, we don't want to be the next that. We saw the Shield when they were coming up and we were really angry that the Shield was coming up, because as talented as those guys were, we were already a three-man group. We already existed. We were already battle tested and ready to roll and I think that's why our involvement with them was so special because it was a real affliction.

"As far as inspiration, I'm inspired by everything. I'll watch a homeless man walk down the street with a crazy little limp and the next thing I know I pick it up. And that's the thing though, I don't sit down with a pen and paper, and I don't say, "Hey I'll walk out and say this on Monday Night Raw." I feel it out there, you know man. I start out with a little point that I want to get across and wherever my brain takes me is wherever I go in those promos. It's not something made up, the ideals are not made up, and everything is real to me. Everything I say it's so passionate, it's just real, it's what I really think of the world, what I really think of society and heroes, and all those people that I have a lack of respect for, it's all real images that pop up in my head in sequential order. Boom-boom-boom-boom, and they just flow out of me as if it's not even me talking but something else."

Wyatt on his positive crowd reactions: "I feed off the energy. I don't care what noise that they're making as long as they're making noise. It makes it real; it makes it real to me. If they were sitting down and they were quiet and not making any noise then I'd be worried. But as long as they're loud and they're into what I'm doing it makes me more into what I'm doing."

Bill Goldberg Speaks Out On What His Current Relationship With Chris Jericho Is After Their Fight

The Phoenix New Times recently interviewed Goldberg, who was promoting his upcoming appearance at the Clickjab Wrestling Fanfest this weekend. Below are some highlights:

Goldberg on his podcast: "I just think the reality is, I'm asking every one of ‘em about wrestling, you know? So as to educate them as to most of the people who are listening to me. But again, I'm not trying to be a dick and I'm not trying to turn my back on the fans, I'm just trying to give them something different. Because there are already four or five or 60 wrestlers doing podcasts.

"And as much as I dislike [Chris] Jericho at times, he's expanded his horizons on his podcast. He's pretty eclectic at who he has on as a guest. And I believe that's an integral part of having a successful business venture is being able to pull from all demographics, not just one. So the wrestling community is absolutely gigantic, and I just want to do something different, man."

Goldberg on if he would have Chris Jericho on his podcast show: "Absolutely. Why not? We'll do a co-promoted podcast where it should be aired on both simultaneously. Yeah. No big deal. I'm 47 years old, man, I don't hold grudges with people. If he's got a problem with me, say it to my face. Other than that, shut up, you know?"

On Jericho's claim on Twitter that Goldberg is his "bro": "Yeah, that's how I feel too, man. And I very much appreciate him saying that. Until I talk to him face-to-face, which I haven't done since the B.S. went down years ago, which…it was ridiculous. It was the furthest thing from a fight that I think I've ever seen. But he knows the truth and I know the truth, and the reality is we're grown men, dude, we've got bigger and better things to do than [dwell] on a ridiculous little subject that people seem to bring up every couple minutes.
