-- As promised, former NXT Tag-Team Champions The Ascension made their main roster WWE debut at Monday's RAW in Washington, D.C. The Ascension defeated The Miz and Damien Mizdow in a quick tag-team match on the show.

-- The backstage video promo from Bray Wyatt on Monday's RAW was taped last week at RAW in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Wyatt was not in attendance at the event on Monday night in Washington, D.C., as he worked the non-televised live event in Richmond, Virginia on Monday.

-- It was believed going into Monday's RAW show in Washington, D.C., the final episode of the program for 2014, that Randy Orton would be making his return. Obviously that did not happen, however he did make an appearance in the building after the cameras went off as we noted late last night here on the website.

Once RAW went off the air officially, Orton came out for a dark match main event, defeating Seth Rollins with a RKO. Orton then celebrated with John Cena at the top of the stage.

In case you missed it earlier, here is a photo of Orton from after RAW went off the air …

Bray Wyatt Discusses Stereotypes In Pro Wrestling, His Current WWE Character And More

Chad Dukes of ChadDukesWrestling.com recently interviewed WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, who was promoting WWE Battleground. Below are some highlights:

Wyatt on his last year on the main WWE roster: "This ride this last year has just been a roller coaster, man. The intensity is off the charts. I measure it a lot by the reception from the people and the fans. So NXT, it took people a while to understand, you know, what exactly you're trying to portray because everyone wants to immediately look at us and they go, "Deliverance" and all these foolish hillbilly… what's the word I'm looking for?"

Wyatt's response when Dukes says "stereotypes": "Stereotypes, exactly, but we're highly intelligent, you know, more like some kind of hillbilly assassins. When we started in NX, we go from that reaction to…I actually was there just last night, and when I walkout there, I just, I see the people ignite. I do the entrance, and I say "NXT, we're home" and they believe it and I believe it, how real it is, and that's sort of how it's been. It starts out, I'm in no mans land not knowing what's going to happen from day to day, how the people are going to receive me, until now, I see in their eyes they understand. They see me for what I want them to see me as, it's truly truly a wonderful feeling, man."

Wyatt on his inspirations for his character: "When we looked at ourselves we never said we wanted to be the next this, we don't want to be the next that. We saw the Shield when they were coming up and we were really angry that the Shield was coming up, because as talented as those guys were, we were already a three-man group. We already existed. We were already battle tested and ready to roll and I think that's why our involvement with them was so special because it was a real affliction.

"As far as inspiration, I'm inspired by everything. I'll watch a homeless man walk down the street with a crazy little limp and the next thing I know I pick it up. And that's the thing though, I don't sit down with a pen and paper, and I don't say, "Hey I'll walk out and say this on Monday Night Raw." I feel it out there, you know man. I start out with a little point that I want to get across and wherever my brain takes me is wherever I go in those promos. It's not something made up, the ideals are not made up, and everything is real to me. Everything I say it's so passionate, it's just real, it's what I really think of the world, what I really think of society and heroes, and all those people that I have a lack of respect for, it's all real images that pop up in my head in sequential order. Boom-boom-boom-boom, and they just flow out of me as if it's not even me talking but something else."

Wyatt on his positive crowd reactions: "I feed off the energy. I don't care what noise that they're making as long as they're making noise. It makes it real; it makes it real to me. If they were sitting down and they were quiet and not making any noise then I'd be worried. But as long as they're loud and they're into what I'm doing it makes me more into what I'm doing."

Chris Jericho Explains Why Bray Wyatt Is Getting Over

Chris Jericho spoke to The Miami Herald recently and they just published the second part of the interview. Down below Jericho speaks on why Bray Wyatt is getting over? And the Bray Wyatt character.

"It's different. It's something nobody's ever seen before. It's a character that he's really dropped into. People believe it's real, and when people believe it's real, they get into it. Same thing as heel Jericho from 2008 and 2009. People wanted to fight me on the streets for real. I was getting in fights with fans. People believed this character was the biggest %$#^& on earth, because that's the way I played it."

"It's like an Academy Award winning actor. When he wins an award, there's a reason for that, because you believed the character. That's what Bray's doing. He dropped into it. He's embraced it. He created it. It's real. So it's something the people haven't seen before, and that's why it's getting over as good as it is."

"[The music] really fits the character. It's a swampy type, groovy, New Orleans Cajun type vibe. It's a little bit creepy, and that's basically what the Wyatts are as well. It's very important to have a good ring song that really matches your character to help you get into that character, before you go on stage. That's very, very important."

- Speaking of Jericho, his latest podcast features Jake Roberts and Diamond Dallas Page. Jericho also previews the new Fozzy albmum. Down below is the synopsis and the actual podcast:

DDP & Jake The Snake Roberts together in-person with Y2J. They sat down at DDP's Accountability Crib in Atlanta, and talked about EVERYTHING! Jake's descent into drugs & alcohol, his resurrection, his WWE comeback & Hall of Fame induction, working the sober program with Scott Hall, and how Jake really feels about all those snakes! Chris Jericho Discusses The Bray Wyatt Character, Separating Fozzy From Wrestling, More

The Miami Herald has posted part two of their interview with Chris Jericho, in which he talks about Bray Wyatt's character and music. The two have a match at WWE Battleground tomorrow night. Here are highlights:

On being busy: "The saying is, ‘Whenever you do something you love to do, you never work a day in your life,' and I don't, but everyday is full of activities and lots of things I got to do. I think Chris Jericho is pretty much an industry at this point...It's always what I wanted to do. It's always what I dreamed of doing, and I'll never complain about any of it."

On Bray Wyatt: "It's different. It's something nobody's ever seen before. It's a character that he's really dropped into. On keeping Fozzy and wrestling separate:"Whenever I was doing Fozzy, it seemed like I was always a bad guy in wrestling, so it wasn't a good idea to promote the band when I'm also promoting myself as the most hated guy in [wrestling]. That's why you have to keep those separate because people will jump out and go, ‘We're supposed to hate Fozzy, because we're supposed to hate Jericho.' I keep them separate for a reason, because they're two separate things, and they should be, and they are."

PHOTO: A Bloody Bray Wyatt At WWE's MSG Event!

Partial Source: Pwinsider.com

UPDATE: Here is a photo of a bloody Bray Wyatt following his main event with John Cena at WWE's Madison Square Garden event in New York City on Saturday night:

ORIGINAL: As expected, Mark Henry made his return to WWE on Saturday night at the live event from Madison Square Garden in New York City. During the main event, Henry returned as one of Ric Flair's lumberjacks for the John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt main event. Triple H also had his own lumberjacks to back up Bray Wyatt. Basically, Flair and his lumberjacks were in the corner of John Cena while Triple H and his lumberjacks were in the corner of Bray Wyatt.

During the main event, Henry turned heel and threw Cena into the ring post. Towards the end of the match (Cena defeated Wyatt), Flair and Bray got into it and Wyatt was busted open and bleeding badly. As he headed towards the back after the match, his entire face was covered in blood. Despite the injury, Bray is NOT expected to miss any in-ring time. A few stitches and he'll be good to go!

Here is a report from the WWE-MSG main event. A full report from the entire show is posted on the main newsboard.

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt. The Lumberjacks were everyone who worked the show plus Mark Henry, Great Khali and Titus O'Neill, so there were 16 total (8 for Flair and 8 for Triple H). No Rusev. Triple H and Ric Flair each had their own entrance. HHH tried to cut a promo but Flair took the mic and that led to them grabbing the mic from each other until Bray's entrance began. They went back and forth battling. When Cena was tossed to the outside, the heel lumberjacks all put the boots to him. Bray did it again and Cena had the boots put to him before they tossed him back in. Bray drilled Cena with a DDT for a two count. Cena mounted a comeback but was caught In a sleeper. The loudest reaction all night was the back and forth chants for Cena during this sequence. Cena fought him off and nailed a tornado DDT off the ropes. He backdropped Bray over the ropes and the faces all worked him over. Wyatt was tossed back in the ring and Cena did all his standards but was freaked out by the Wyatt Spider Walk. Bray nailed an Avalanche one the corner and went for Sister Abigail but Cena escaped and went for the AA. Wyatt caught him with a Urange for a two count. Wyatt tossed him out where Henry caught him and out him back in. Cena was nailed with a back sentom splash for a two count. Wyatt attempted a Superplex. Cena slipped down and nailed a sitdown powerbomb but was pulled out by the heels before he could score the pin. The heels attacked him and faced off with the faces. There was a huge brawl. Cena did a dive off the top onto the Lumberjacks. They brawled to the back. Cena went to grab Wyatt but HHH kicked him and nailed a Pedigree. He told Wyatt to make the cover but Flair rolled in and kicked Wyatt low. Flair and Bray faced off. Flair peppered him with punches including a stiff one that busted Bray open above the eyebrow, which began bleeding. He chopped Bray but was taken down with a punch. HHH instructed Bray to pin Cena so he went for Sister Abigail but Cena turned it into an STF and scored the submission. Fun main event with both guys working super hard despite their insane travel the last 24 hours.

Notes: Byron Saxton was the ring announcer and did a fine job. Why they never use Howard Finkel here is beyond me. It would add something unique and special and Fink was the best of all time, but that's just me....They were selling new shirts for Bray Wyatt and The Usos as well as signed photos of The Usos, John Cena and Sheamus...Michael Hayes worked the show giving music and production cues.....There were a few video flubs early in the show.

John Cena Speaks Out - Bray Wyatt, Legacy, 'Taker's Streak

In an interview with AMNY.com, John Cena spoke about his Wrestlemania XXX match with Bray Wyatt. Here are highlights:

On preparing for Wyatt: "This one is peculiar. You ask me any other WrestleMania opponent I've ever had, I'd be able to give you a clean cut shot: "John Cena's going to walk into wherever and kick the holy hell out of somebody." But the Bray Wyatt situation is different. He's a difficult opponent to scout because I don't necessarily know what he wants to do at WrestleMania. A lot of my WrestleMania opponents in the past want to simply win. Bray Wyatt has stated that the most important thing for him to do on April 6 is ruin my legacy and he's also that that doesn't necessarily come at the cost of defeating me. He's done some very awkward stuff on "Monday Night Raw" at the cost of victory, having victory within his grasp or one of his family members having victory within [their] grasp and then just throwing away victories just to create an embarrassing moment, or undermining moment for me. So, it's very been very difficult for me to scout Bray, very difficult for me to come up with a battle plan or a playbook and I think, from an outside perspective, that's what makes WrestleMania interesting. It can be the first match that I've been in where I may win, but I may wind up the loser, if that makes any sense."

On his legacy: "I'm certainly not afraid to address the fact that there are a lot of people that enjoy my performances, a lot of people that don't. I think the one thing that I've been consistent to over the years is the reason I go out there. I've openly said I love the WWE. I truly operate on a schedule of hustle, loyalty and respect. That's the term on the T-shirt, but it simply means hard work, respect everyone, even though they may be your enemy, and be loyal to those who are loyal to you. That's pretty much my ideology — so good, bad or indifferent. You know, I've been around for 12 years now, so when you come out and say that the first time, people may not believe it, but 12 years people, people are like, you know what, this is what this guy stands for. And I think Bray's trying to do what he's trying to do – he may see me in a different light or whatever, but he says he's going to change the way people think about me."

On what matches he's looking forward to: "I'm looking forward to The Shield, because I really find excitement in new. I'm a member of the WWE Universe. I'm a fan as well as a superstar, so when I see these new superstars, I get excited. … I'm really looking forward to the Andre the Giant over the top Battle Royal because it's a 30-man situation with so many new superstars and somebody is going to have a WrestleMania moment there. I hope it's a breakout moment for someone. The match that I am most interested in is Triple H versus Daniel Bryan, only because for six months, maybe even longer than that now, Daniel Bryan has been labeled as the guy who will never ever get an opportunity, the guy who is always being kept down. And I agreed with that, until Daniel Bryan occupied Raw and made demands. And those demands were met. And I think Daniel Bryan is a wonderful competitor. I think he has as much passion as anyone else in the WWE. But he asked for these matches, and it looks like a pretty unfair set of circumstances, but if you go back and watch the Raw where he took over, he asked for it. So if he doesn't take advantage of that opportunity, if he doesn't capitalize on that opportunity, then you really can't say he never got one. As unfair as it may be, it's the exact one that he asked for. So, as I said, WrestleMania is made of defining moments and when you ask for an opportunity at WrestleMania and you're gifted opportunity, you better perform, so my eyes are on that match, big time."

On if Triple H will be rusty: "He's my boss, but I've also been in there with him and I've been in there with him at WrestleMania. So he is above all else, he can wear a suit and be Triple H, or whatever he calls himself at the Tower in Stamford, Conn. When he steps in there, he's The Game. And that is 100% true and he has that same passion that I have. I want a bigger stage. I want more eyes. I want this event...
