Last Friday Night's WWE SmackDown Rating Is In, Survivor Series Dominates Google, & More News

-- According to Google statistics, WWE did over 200,000 Google searches for their Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday. That came in at #3 behind Iggy Azalea and Odell Beckham Jr. as they were featured at the MTV Movie Awards and the New York Giants NFL game.

-- WWE's reasoning for the Survivor Series post-show not airing is simply because the pay-per-view ran long as they already had content scheduled to air and didn't want to mess up their schedule.

-- WWE added a new feature to the WWE Network that allows subscribers to access content from WWE's official YouTube channel. You can check out a list of content that is available at WWE.com.

-- UPDATE: The Friday, November 21st WWE Survivor Series "go-home" edition of SmackDown scored a final 2.11 (2.1) cable rating, which was up from the 1.93 rating that the show drew the previous week. Friday's SmackDown averaged 2.878 million viewers, which was also up from the average of 2.715 million viewers who tuned in the previous week.

-- ORIGINAL: It was good news for the WWE SmackDown rating today. Last Friday’s episode drew 2.88 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are up 6% and a tenth from last week’s 2.72 million and 0.8 demo rating. The episode had the highest SmackDown viewership since the July 18th episode drew 2.89 million and the highest demo rating since the June 27th episode also drew a 0.9.

The household rating will be available later

**SPOILER** Updates - 2 Huge Names To Appear At The WWE Survivor Series Pay-Per-View?

There are reports floating around the internet today that claim Randy Orton has been spotted at a restaurant in St. Louis, the site of Sunday's WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, doing basically nothing to keep his presence hidden from the public.

It was reported earlier that Orton took a 9am flight out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he is filming a WWE Studios movie, to DFW Airport, connecting to St. Louis.

The fact that "The Viper" is in St. Louis doesn't necessarily guarantee that he will be on the Survivor Series show, as he lives there and was reportedly in town visiting his father. However, he is definitely in town right now.

The belief from another one of the other sources is that Sting will be at Survivor Series on Sunday, but no one has yet to be able to officially confirm that to us. The initial reports that surfaced online claimed that Sting at Survivor Series is a definite, which would make sense timing wise for a number of reasons.

Make of it what you will. I would advise anyone to take the news with a huge grain of salt until we can get further confirmation.

Jim Ross Writes A Blog On Sting At Survivor Series PPV Rumors, Brock Lesnar's UFC Return & More

Ross jim3e Birthdate: 01/03/1952 (age 62) Height: 5'10" Weight: 250 Ib Jim Ross is an American professional wrestling ...

The following are highlights of the latest blog by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On Sting possibly appearing at Survivor Series: "My Twitter timeline lit up Friday night with the conveniently, timed info/rumor that Sting would make a 'surprise' appearance at Sunday's WWE Survivor Series. I have no idea it that's true or not and I'd have preferred if the info, true or not, would not have leaked out. I'm not a major fan of the "Jardine's" aka spoilers. I'm a Sting fan from back in the day and believe that if his first and perhaps only match in WWE is at WrestleMania 31. The man has earned a WrestleMania Moment without question."

On his prediction for the Survivor Series main event outcome: "If forced to make a prediction, I'd go with Team Cena winning the Survivor Series main event Sunday in St. Louis which provides WWE the opportunity to truly set the reset button and create some new scenarios that are due with the build to WM31 beginning to commence. If so, Im curious to see how HHH and Steph are repositioned as WWE needs star power and they provide that more than many of the talents."

On rumors of a Brock Lesnar return to UFC: "My thoughts on the possibility of Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC have seemingly resonated among some. Lesnar is a true jock....not an entertainer....and in the UFC he can be involved in a main steam sport of which he covets while still making big money for working few times a year. I think the amazingly gifted athlete longs for the competition and to see what's left in the tank after his battles with diverticulitis. Perhaps with the additional TV dates that Lesnar has agreed to is for him to lose the WWE Title on Monday Night RAW where the most fans would see it. Who knows?"

It seems some fans actually believed Punk referencing Paul Heyman on Twitter earlier believed it meant Punk could make a return to the WWE tonight. The latest report confirms Punk will not be making a comeback tonight. Punk is reportedly focusing on his life post-wrestling. A sourcce says he has been training extensively in MMA under the Gracies in California.

In addition, Roman Reigns has reportedly flown from Reno, Nevada for an autograph signing to St. Louis, Missouri. So he is now in town for the event. However, an earlier report indicated he is not confirmed to make an appearance for the event. He is in town thgh.

ORIGINAL: As previously reported, Sting, Roman Reigns, and Randy Orton have all been rumored to be in attendance for tonight’s Survivor Series events. However, there have been conflicting reports regarding whether the Superstars would definitively appear or not.

There could be even one or two more surprises for the event. These surprises could be in addition to the aforementioned three wrestlers. The issue is a source notes that the WWE might want to hold these surprises back because if Sting and Orton appear tonight, that would be enough for the show. Anything further would potentially be perceived as overkill.

In other words, the source suggests more surprises are planned…but are also being planned to get held back. Any additional surprises besides say Sting and Orton would take away from the importance of their appearance.

Of course, St. Louis is the host city of Survivor Series on Sunday. Orton has recently been out if action in order to film The Condemned 2 for WWE Studios. It would make sense to have Orton return as a babyface at the event as he'd obviously get a massive pop in front of his hometown fans.

-- WWE will release their first quarterly earnings on Thursday.

-- Tonight at RAW, WWE will release a pre-sale code for the November 23rd Survivor Series PPV in St. Louis. We'll have that for you guys later tonight once it's announced to the live crowd.

-- Drake Younger had his final independent appearance yesterday for SPW in Sacramento, CA. According to sources, Younger will be reporting to WWE NXT in Orlando, FL to begin training as a referee. No word on why WWE doesn't have plans for him to wrestle as of this writing. It seems odd as he's a very good indy wrestler.
