Who's Next: Which WWE Superstars Will Be Next To Get The Ax?

With news that the WWE has released eleven Superstars on Thursday, it has been rumored that several more Superstars may be on their way out of the WWE as well.

And so without delay, here are the Superstars who might very well find themselves in either TNA or Ring of Honor in the very near future:

Cody Rhodes

It seems as if though the WWE likes to include surprise releases during its "spring cleaning" and the inclusion of Cody Rhodes is no exception. Rhodes has been underutilized ever since he and Goldust lost the tag team titles to the New Age Outlaws at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Even though he is currently in a storyline in which he chooses a tag team partner for Goldust, I expect this storyline to be scrapped due to Triple H reportedly not sold on the second-generation performer.

The WWE in my opinion won't seem to miss Rhodes as I think he'll be one of the top performers in Jeff Jarrett's upcoming promotion Global Force Wrestling and perhaps the face of the company in years to come.

The Miz

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Just three years ago, The Miz was the WWE Champion as well as one of the WWE's most despised heels. It seems as if though The Miz was suddenly on top of the world.

Fast forward to today: The Miz hasn't been seen on television for a couple of reasons. One, he was filming the upcoming movie The Marine 4 and second, he's another victim of WWE Creative not having anything for him. Heck, he was even replaced on WWE Main Event by the highly-touted Byron Saxton. Not a good sign for "Mr. Awesome."

Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero

With the release of longtime SmackDown GM Teddy Long, it may not be too much longer that Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero could join Long on the unemployment line very soon. With The Authority (led by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon) making the matches as well as the end of WWE Brand Extension, the GM role has become yesterday's news in WWE Management's eyes.

David Otunga

Many WWE fans (myself included) were surprised that David Otunga wasn't one of the eleven Superstars getting "Future Endeavored" on Thursday, considering the fact that he has pretty much been absent ever since John Laurinaitis disappeared from our TV screens in 2012.

Expect Otunga to be not so lucky the next time the mass releases start rolling soon.

Xavier Woods

He may have been on the WWE main roster for a few months now, but the man formerly known as Consequences Creed has not fared well so far. Despite teaming up with R-Truth, Woods has had a forgettable feud with the now-released Brodus Clay, among other things. With his outlook in the WWE looking bleak so far, look for Woods to get his walking papers soon.

Ten Superstars Got Fired

Aksana, Brodus Clay, Drew McIntyre,Evan Bourne, Curt Hawkins, Jinder Mahal, Yoshi Tatsu, Theodore Long, JTG and Camacho were sacked on Wednesday by WWE. It was a shock for the wwe universe which was not expected on one day ten talents will be fired. My first regret is Teddy long. His persona on TV was special and beneficial for Smackdown for years. As general manager he was a man with power and a gentleman. We understand that the company wants a change in the debut of a new era since 2012 in WWE. I am very sad about his release from the company. Actually he was the best General Manager of Smackdown branch’s ever since was created. His career as referee also was great but each good story may come to an end.

Brodus clay never improves his character and developed it in a better way. The “funks” story-line had a good start but a bad end on Raw. I think the fans did not his real intention in WWE may be that why he got fired. Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal became famous a few weeks ago as tag team partners in 3MB, but they performance in the ring were not as expected.

Young Japan superstars Yoshi Tatsu, have many opportunities in the past on Raw and live events. The fans know that the Middle superstars can train at NXT and performed on the show to prove if they are worthy or not. My feeling was good when I saw Yoshi Tatsu performed on NXT month ago, but when his match end the enthusiast of see him not there.

JTG miss his crime time glory in WWE. This man never improves his persona in the company. I have nothing against him but I think that some people don’t deserve second chance.

Curt Hawkins and Camacho have supporters in the NXT arena. Even last month proves that he became a huge aspect of NXT that explored. The two was too slow to develop a character that best for business.

People were happy to see to him but one broken legs kills his career. WWE planned a good career for Evan Bourne. An injury put his career in trouble push him to the Exit door to the Indy events.

Aksana beautiful diva who I think made a huge mistake on her persona. First her hair was pretty in blond in 2012 then she try and save the brunette style which is actually a bad chose. Second her gear was not attracted. Sometime she appears as big divas in fact she is a slim divas. One thing I cannot deny, that this lady is performer in the ring.

Someone has written on the site that the WWE made the spring cleaning and release more talents soon. This period of the year the WWE is on clean mood those who are not worthy got sacked I know this word is hard but real for the talents.

Top Ten Superstars Steve Austin Should Return To Wrestle (Part 1)

Time is running out.

If "Stone Cold" Steve Austin doesn't return within the next year or two for a mega-main event at WrestleMania 31 or WrestleMania 32, it seems unlikely that it will ever happen. Rule number one in the world of professional wrestling is "never say never," but if "The Rattlesnake" isn't lured back for a big money WrestleMania match soon, just based on his abilities diminishing with age alone, he physically won't be able to. At that point, you can pretty much throw wrestling's number one rule out the window and definitively say "Steve Austin will never wrestle again."

When Paul Heyman appeared on "The Steve Austin Show," which is my favorite PodcastOne.com weekly wrestling show, he managed to get the WWE Hall Of Famer to admit that a match against Brock Lesnar could potentially be interesting enough to get him to make a return to the ring. After hearing that, every once in a while I'll ponder about who the best person would be to compete with "Stone Cold" if he were willing to return, and was only willing to work one match.

With that being said, I decided to use that idea for my latest eWrestlingNews.com "Top Ten" editorial. We'll call this one, "Top Ten Superstars Steve Austin Should Return To Wrestle." We will take a look at ten-through-six of the countdown, concluding with the top five on Sunday. Let's take a look at who made the bottom-half of my top ten.

...and we're off!

10. Vince McMahon

I highly doubt this one happens for one very specific reason -- Austin has made it clear that he has no interest in returning for a match unless he's able to compete at a certain level. This is why he has turned down offers in the past for a "dream match" against Hulk Hogan at a few different WrestleMania events.

As long as we're looking at things from a hypothetical point of view, however, I feel that the resurgence of the Austin-McMahon feud, which was arguably the most successful and entertaining in history, would be a fun nostalgia program leading into a WrestleMania pay-per-view. The culmination in the match itself would surely be lacking, but in some ways, could be more beneficial to Austin, as I don't believe anyone would go into an Austin vs. McMahon match expecting a "catch-as-catch-can" classic.

Imagine the promos. Imagine the video packages mixing past clips with whatever current segments they would shoot during the build up. Imagine the history between these two being brought back and new chapters being added. It could be a very fun program to watch play out -- and at the same time -- wouldn't effect current up-and-comers, as neither guy is an active regular competitor.

9. Cesaro

If the in-ring performance is as important to "The Rattlesnake" as he says it is, a match against "The King of Swing" could be great for Austin, as it would pretty much be guaranteed to be an excellent match.

In a million years I can't see Austin laying down for the Cesaro Swing, but that's besides the point. I mean hell, there was a solid chunk of time where Austin refused to lay down for The Rock's "People's Elbow" spot because he thought it was a goofy comedy move and not something that belonged in a real pro wrestling match.

Even if Austin refused to do the job in a match against Cesaro, much like any up-and-comers currently on the roster, just getting the chance to rub shoulders with arguably the most successful Superstar in wrestling history would certainly be a great "rub" and would be incredibly beneficial to anyone who would be lucky enough to be on the opposite end of the ring against him.

8. Triple H

These two have history. They are from the same era. Austin got over at a monster level based on his character, one that defied authority.

Did you catch that?

The word "authority." It's not just a bad pun, given the fact that Triple H is the leader of a current little "faction" (if you want to call it that) known as The Authority, it was legitimately the key ingredient in turning "Stone Cold" into a huge box office success story.

The Austin vs. McMahon rivalry and the fact that Austin beat his bosses ass on a regular basis, is something that could be played out in a seamless fashion with WWE's modern story lines. Austin vs. Triple H. Good old "Stone Cold" back to buck tradition, defy authority, or in this case -- The Authority, all leading to one final showdown between "The Rattlesnake" and "The Game." There is definitely some potential there.

7. Bray Wyatt

Much like the case made for Cesaro above, if WWE wants to use Austin to give a rub to someone they plan on having a bright future in the company, there are few...
