WWE Back In Action Tonight – Two Live Events

The company holds two events tonight and down below are the complete details.

WWE holds the first live event in Calgary, AB at the Scotiabank Saddledome with the following Superstars who are advertised: Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, Rusev, Big Show, Dean Ambrose and Erick Rowan.

WWE holds the second live event in Loveland, CO at the Budweiser Events Center with the following Superstars who are advertised: Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Kane, Luke Harper and Dolph Ziggler.

Here are the matches advertised for the event: John Cena vs. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose vs. Kane and Dolph Ziggler vs. Luke Harper.

In an interview with 105.3 THE FAN in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Roman Reigns spoke about the upcoming Royal Rumble and more.

– He said he didn’t like being out with an injury but was happy to spend the time off with family. He got to afford a wedding and go on vacation. However, he added he couldn’t move very much in the first few weeks.

– He said he is motivated “more than ever” to win the Royal Rumble after he came so close last year. He has another year of experience and “that spells disaster” for everyone else.

– All three former members of The Shield are “prospering” and fans have nothing to complain about with their direction. He said that will keep succeeding and change the face of WWE.

News & Notes On Tonight's WWE SmackDown & Main Event TV Tapings In Austin, Texas

-- WWE tapes SmackDown tonight in Austin, Texas at the Frank Erwin center. Daniel Bryan vs. Kane headlines. The match is a no DQ match, and if Bryan loses, he is out of the Royal Rumble match.

-- WWE also tapes Main Event tonight, but that will no longer air on the WWE Network due to a contractual issue with Sky TV in the UK.

-- Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins and Big Show is tonight’s dark match.

It was previously reported that Jerry Lawler was moved from RAW to SmackDown because the company was being age-conscious and was making the move as a way to begin phasing him out. However, several other sources have a different take on the move. One source claims that one of the reasons for the move was because his move from RAW to SmackDown helps boost the show’s credibility among fans by providing the show with its own “A-level announce team.”

Of course, the two takes are not mutually exclusive; it is possible that the company is trying to reduce Lawler’s presence on their flagship show but still recognize that his name value gives the SmackDown commentary a boost among casual fans.

Speaking of the move, Lawler tweeted out the following about his first week on the job.
