-- The Los Matadores were scheduled to work World Wrestling Council’s Three Kings Day event in Puerto Rico but were removed from the ads. They have been allowed to work WWC events (including the recent anniversary show) in the past due to a stipulation in their contracts. No reason was given for them leaving the Three Kings show. Diego has been absent from several WWE events this week because he asked for time off. An injury is not the reason he hasn’t been working.

-- A new graphic novel about the life of Andre the Giant will be released next year through Lion Forge Comics. It was written by Brandon Easton and drawn by Dennis Medri. A graphic novel has been released about Andre this year, but Lion Forge has been working on this particular version for years. It’s being released with the approval of Andre’s estate and daughter.

-- As noted earlier here on the website, some new details on Rey Mysterio’s current relationship with WWE have been released. As we posted on Monday, Mysterio was brought to Buffalo, New York for Monday’s episode of RAW. This is after the company contacted him just before the Mexican tour, asking him to come back for it as advance ticket sales were initially low. Mysterio made it clear at that time that he did not want to come back.

According to sources, Mysterio still does not want to come back but the creative team is still trying to come up with ideas for him. Part of why Mysterio wants to work outside of the company is due to the fact that he saw the former Sin Cara able to call his own shots and command a high price ($5,000 per match) for working in Mexico. Mysterio is also confident that he could make very good money as one of Lucha Underground’s flagship stars.

Back when Mysterio’s deal expired about six months ago, he actually shook hands with Triple H and the two thanked each other for their time together like it was over. However, Vince McMahon made the call to have Mysterio’s contract extended for another year due to the time he didn’t work due to his injuries. It's basically a case of WWE is going to use him while they have him under contract despite the fact that he doesn't want to be there. He has no plans to re-up with WWE when his current con tract expires. It'll be interesting to see how they use him and whether they "job" him out and have him "put over" younger talents.

Report - Major Issues Between Rey Mysterio & WWE

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Last week it was reported that Vince McMahon renewed Rey Mysterio's WWE deal for one year. According to that story, Rey's contract was set to expire, but WWE contracts may be frozen in the event of an injury. Since Mysterio has missed so much time during the course of his deal due to injuries, word was that WWE felt that Mysterio "owed them time" and he was renewed through May of 2015.

According to sources, there is more to the situation than what it already out. While there are not a lot of details at this time, there is a potential legal issue that has not played out. Mysterio was looking at leaving with the expiration of his contract, but then McMahon renewed the deal. WWE has Mysterio on the injured list, and there has been no talk about his potential return.

Credit: Kris Zellner and Pwinsider.com

AAA held a press conference today at the Hard Rock Hotel in Puerto Vallarta where they announced that the former Mistico/Sin Cara is now known as Myzteziz, which sounds out as "Mizztizz."

Myzteziz appeared on the TV taping last night in Celaya wearing his new gear, which is a hybrid of his old Mistico colors with the Sin Cara type mask.

AAA announced that they trademarked this name on 5/8 but Myzteziz went on to say that he would work under his old name of Sin Cara on non-AAA shows so the confusion will still be there.

On the booking of The Wyatt Family and WWE turning heels into faces: "I don't know the intention as I don't understand the positioning or the meaning of much of today's creative in a variety of promotions."

Shawn Michaels Speaks Out - CM Punk/WWE Issues, Bret Hart

Credit: Scott H

I had the extreme pleasure of attending a night with HBK, Shawn Michaels in Manchester. This event, to me, and most in attendance, was like having a piece of WrestleMania carved up and put on a stage right in front of you.

Shawn was very honest, very open and answered every question the 400 plus crowd asked him to.

Here are some notes from memory, apologies if they are not as detailed as they should be, this was Shawn Michaels after all, and I was in the same room as him!

Shawn talked about WrestleMania 30 from the gorilla position; he said he was as shocked as anyone that Taker lost, and that he texted Taker afterwards to see if he was ok. Taker responded that he is ok and will sue when he finds out the number of the bus that hit him!

Shawn seems to have a nice relationship with Taker and mentioned some Outdoor projects they might do in the future.

He describes the mood of WrestleMania 14, the bad place he was in, the way he was acting all day and even up to bell time, nobody really knew if he was going to do business, not even Stone Cold.

Shawn described a great story, telling how Tyson was in boxing mode backstage when practicing the punch for the end of the match.

When asked if Undertaker was at gorilla position during the WrestleMania 14 main event, Shawn said no, it was just internet folklore again that had created that one.

A fan asked Shawn about overselling in the Summer Slam 2005 match with Hulk Hogan. Shawn said he had sold the same way against Nash in 1995 and that everyone thought it was fantastic then. HBK revealed it was suppose to be a best of 3 series with Hulk, with a win a piece, and then a final match, but it didn't quite happen that way.

Shawn spoke nicely about Bret Hart, and their relationship seems in a better place than it has been for many a year.

HBK asked everyone not to believe what they read on the Internet, he laughed off reports that he was going to work with Daniel Bryan.

Asked about ROH Shawn said he hasn't seen the product, but was aware of some of the talented guys that had come out of the promotion.

HBK talked about Daniel Bryan, and how Bryan was ready for a WWE job a few years before he got one, but Daniel felt WWE was not right for him yet. He said Daniel was an artist, who created, but then after a while the artist needs to get paid, and WWE can do that.

Shawn has a lot of respect for Vince and tells stories about the type of person Vince really is.

The chemistry between HBK and Chris Jericho was so good Jericho, Shawn and Vince knew straight away that there was something special there, and this was in 2003 not their epic 2008 feud.

Shawn talked about the CM Punk situation, and said that the money, the title reigns are great but if you are not happy then it is best to walk away.

Shawn spoke to the Ultimate Warrior at the Hall Of Fame, and said to him that it was so lovely to see him with his 2 daughters. He said he was proud the last thing he ever said to Warrior was a positive and nice thing.

It was Stephanie who helped him write the Larry King skit about Hulk Hogan in 2005.

Shawn talked at length about his return in 2002, and how great it was but at first he thought it was just 1 match. Then Vince had the idea of a feel good moment with the 2002 Elimination Chamber and HBK winning, and then 8 years on HBK was still wrestling.

When asked about the DX days HBK said that the early stuff was very racy, but the older stuff was funnier in a dorky way. He said he was paid well to be an idiot.

Shawn talked about going solo and the split with Marty and how he didn't want to work with Sherri and he didn't like the music, and he said that Pat Patterson told him that plain and simple, Sherri would elevate him, as she had only been with top guys.

Jimmy Hart still thinks it is great HBK uses the music Jimmy created for him in January 1992.

Shawn mentions JR's podcast and that he recently did an interview with JR.

Shawn had to compare the Kliq Incident with the Montreal Screw job; he said the Screw Job had more of an impact on the business because everyone knew about it, including the casual fan.

Shawn talked about Sid being his bodyguard, and Kevin Nash. It was HBK's idea for Curtis Hughes to be his bodyguard first.

Shawn told some stories about his days on...

Update: Major DGUSA WrestleMania Weekend Issues - Details

UPDATE: Gabe Sapolsky posted the following update…

"OFFICIAL STATEMENT: It is with deep regret that DGUSA must inform our audience of the unfortunate fact Dragon Gate (Japan) talent will not be able to perform on WrestleMania weekend shows. We are in the process of adjusting the lineups and guarantee we will make sure we deliver to you nothing less than top quality shows this coming weekend, as has become our reputation. We will have announcements shortly.

We have already announced the 1st time ever matchup pitting Masato Tanaka against Chris Hero on the Friday night DGUSA show. As the entire pro wrestling world converges on New Orleans this week, the last thing our audience wants to hear or read about is promotional drama. We know you have practically unlimited choices this coming week, and we are going to make sure all those who chose and choose to support DGUSA are rewarded with the best experience we can possibly provide.

DGUSA's mission has always been to earn our fans one at a time. We continue to strive to do so, and thank you for your support during the most exciting week of the year to be a pro wrestling fan!"

ORIGINAL: Gabe Sapolsky posted the following on his Facebook this evening…

"We apologize, but it looks like there will not be Dragon Gate talent on the shows next weekend. This has been an ongoing situation for a while. It is not between us and Dragoon Gate. Our relationship remains strong and DGUSA will continue and will feature Dragon Gate talent in the future. This has been a daily thing where every day we think something was about to break. Now the clock has run out. We owe you a complete explanation and will have that on Monday.

In the meantime, we know you only care about two things- what the lineups are going to be and how we will make this up to you. We took the first step as a precaution by booking Masato Tanaka to face Chris Hero on the Friday night DGUSA show. We need to thank Highspots for making this possible. We are now finalizing the rest. We will have word to you on Monday.

I personally apologize and am very embarrassed by this entire situation. As an organization, we deeply apologize. The bottom line is that we will rebound and we will have amazing shows in New Orleans with a talented, exciting and dynamic roster. We will give you a great experience and present events that you will always remember fondly.

We appreciate and value your patience. We would have said more earlier, but this is something where we literally thought there would be a resolution and announcement on a daily basis. I realize this is not a suitable explanation for some of you and will accept the criticism and try to make it right. It is the best we can do right at this moment.

We'll give you the entire story on Monday when we have everything situated. I will be around for all your questions and comments on Twitter and here on Facebook after we release the lineups and explain what happened. Thank you for all your support and we will make this right on the biggest weekend of the year."
