Various News: Whatever Happened To Former WWF Announcer Joe Fowler?, ROH Live Event Sold Out

-- Last night’s ROH event in Dearborn, Michigan had a full house with around 800-900 people.

-- Former WWF announcer Joe Fowler is currently hosting a show on ShopHQ called Home Solutions with Joe Fowler. He worked briefly for the WWF in 1993. During the show, he was introduced with a mention of his wrestling work and they even mentioned Jim Cornette calling him “hatchet head” during a backstage interview at Summerslam 1993. Fowler was selling hardware like table saws and paint sprayers.

NXT Announcer Absent From TV Tapings + Colt Cobana On Why He Was Released From WWE

- William Regal was not at and did not work Thursday night's WWE NXT TV tapings. 

- Colt Cabana appeared on the Low Blows podcast with host Rick Nash and he spoke briefly about being released from WWE:

"It was a bummer. I was having lunch with Trent Berreta & Tyson Kidd when I got the call. It was awkward for them I think when I told them. I definitely saw it coming as they weren't really using me that well, but the reality of the situation was a total bummer."

Backstage News: AJ Lee's Return + New NXT Announcer

-- The new WWE NXT announcer Rich Brennan (real name Rich Bocchini) was originally the announcer for Booker T's "Reality Of Wrestling" promotion out of Houston, Texas. His background included announcing for the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League, as well as the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. He was also once the Communications Manager for Comcast Sports Houston

-- As previously reported, WWE Diva AJ Lee asked -- and was given -- time off from WWE. As of right now, there is no definite timetable for her return but she advertised for an overseas tour in May. It remains to be seen if the advertising for that changes.

Former WWE broadcaster Ken Resnick recently spoke with VOC Nation's In the Room about a variety of topics.
